French doctor and statistician. One of the earliest proponents for the development of an "economic" theory of the business cycle (1862), thus can be called the father of business cycle theory. Juglar identified the 7-11 year industrial cycle, that has since been associated with his name. His findings on credit cycles spurred the subsequent efforts of overinvestment theorists such as Tugan-Baranovsky.
